WASHINGTON, DC -- The Green Party of the United States will hold press conferences and other events for news media during the party's 2012 Presidential Nominating Convention in Baltimore, from July 12 to 15. Below is a schedule for news media.

Most of the convention will take place at the University of Baltimore, but the nomination on July 14 will be held at the Holiday Inn Inner Harbor in downtown Baltimore.

The Green Party invites and encourages journalists from all media to cover the convention. Bloggers are invited too. We urge journalists to let us know that they plan to attend and cover the convention by registering on our Media Credentialing page (http://www.gpconvention2012.com/p/media.html), so that we can prepare for their participation and better accommodate them. Journalists can also register on site at the convention.

The convention Media Office will be in the University of Baltimore Business Center, room BC 131 on the first floor. The Business Center is across the street (West Mt. Royal Avenue) from the Law Center, where most of the convention will take place.

For more details about the convention, see "Green Party FAQ: What the media should know about the race for the Green presidential nomination, Green ballot lines, and the 2012 Green National Convention," Green Party news advisory, May 30, 2012 (http://www.gp.org/press/pr-national.php?ID=517).
