We need to hear your story (From GLSEN)

The Erie Community Unit School Board in Illinois held an emergency meeting last week during which they signaled they will continue to ban GLSEN resources at Erie Elementary School.

We've heard from so many of you who are outraged that a school district would reject GLSEN's work to make schools safe and affirming for all regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

Your response gave us an idea: Your stories will show the Erie School Board the positive impact GLSEN's work has had on thousands of students, educators and families.

Have you, your students or your child participated in GLSEN's No Name-Calling Week or the Day of Silence? Have you used our Jump-Start Guide to create a Gay-Straight Alliance? Has the GLSEN Safe Space Sticker helped you find a supportive educator? Has the GLSEN Safe Space Kit helped you create a safe and accepting classroom?
