Now hiring for the most exciting campaign of 2012 (From JillStein.org)


The Stein campaign seeks applicants who are energetic, savvy, skilled, and self-directed  for eleven full time campaign positions beginning now and running through November 15, 2012. Specifically, the campaign is opening hiring immediately in the areas of Scheduler and Merchandise, Phonebank Operations, Online and Direct Mail Fundraising, African American Organizing, Labor Organizing, Latino and Spanish Language Organizing, Student and Campus Organizing, Fair Debates and Superrallies, as well as personal assistants to the presidential and the vice-presidential candidates.
Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis. The final deadline for all applications is midnight Eastern time, August  24, 2012, though hires will be completed earlier should the campaign so decide. NOTE: Hiring for these positions is contingent on reception of federal matching funds; final approval of these funds is expected immediately.

SCHEDULER AND INVENTORY MANAGER
  • Manage merchandise operations, including tracking of inventory and ensuring timely shipment of materials.
  • Processing media interview requests, from intake to approval (by executive management), to detailed scheduling.
  • Other tasks, such as assisting with phone banking, volunteer mobilization, etc, as needed.
Compensation: $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications
Location: National headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin
PHONEBANK OPERATIONS MANAGER
  • Maintain constant fundraising and mobilization phonebanking operations remotely and in Madison office.
  • Maintain organized systems and information gathering.
  • Mobilize large volumes of volunteers for specific needs, sometimes with short deadlines.
  • Other tasks, such as campaign visibility, general office management, etc, as needed.
Compensation: $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications
Location: National headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin
ONLINE AND DIRECT MAIL FUNDRAISING MANAGER
  • Manage and personally implement online fundraising operations.
  • Manage and personally implement direct mail fundraising operations.
Compensation: $2400-$3500/month, based on qualifications
Location: National headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin strongly preferred, but we will accept applications from those unable to relocate.
AFRICAN AMERICAN ORGANIZING COORDINATOR
  • Identification and mobilization of existing campaign and Green Party African American leadership and resources.
  • Rapid development and implementation of strategy for building support for the Stein/Honkala ticket in the African American community.
  • Coordination with media relations team on specific African American outreach media efforts.
  • Coordination with field operations efforts to ensure effective African American field outreach efforts. 
Compensation: $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications, plus travel expenses
Location: Anywhere in the continental U.S.A.; ability to work from Madison, Wisconsin a plus.
LABOR ORGANIZING COORDINATOR
  • Identification and mobilization of existing campaign and Green Party labor movement leadership and resources.
  • Rapid development and implementation of strategy for building support for the Stein/Honkala ticket in the labor movement.
  • Coordination with media relations team on specific labor outreach media efforts.
  • Coordination with field operations efforts to ensure effective labor mobilization efforts.
Compensation: $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications, plus travel expenses
Location: Anywhere in the continental U.S.A.; ability to work from Madison, Wisconsin a plus.
LATINO AND SPANISH LANGUAGE ORGANIZING COORDINATOR
  • Identification and mobilization of existing campaign and Green Party Latino leadership and resources.
  • Rapid development and implementation of strategy for building support for the Stein/Honkala ticket in the Latino community and among native Spanish-speakers.
  • Coordination with media relations team on specific Latino and Spanish-language outreach media efforts.
  • Coordination with field operations efforts to ensure effective Latino and Spanish-language field outreach efforts. 
Compensation:  $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications, plus travel expenses
Specific Qualification: Fluency in Spanish a must.
Location: Anywhere in the continental U.S.A.; ability to work from Madison, Wisconsin a plus.
STUDENT AND CAMPUS ORGANIZING COORDINATOR
  • Identification and mobilization of existing campaign and Green Party student and campus leadership and resources.
  • Rapid development and implementation of strategy for building support for the Stein/Honkala ticket among students and campus communities.
  • Coordination with media relations team on specific student and campus outreach media efforts.
  • Coordination with field operations efforts to ensure effective student and campus field outreach efforts. 
Compensation:  $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications, plus travel expenses
Location: National headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin strongly preferred, but we will accept applications from those unable to relocate.
FAIR DEBATES FIELD ORGANIZER
  • Rapid implementation of already-developed campaign strategy for confronting the undemocratic Commission on Presidential Debates.
  • Online organizing, including use of social media, web resources, and more.
  • Organization of street theater and street protests as needed.
  • Coordination with media relations and field operation efforts to implement strategy.
Compensation:  $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications, plus travel expenses
Location: Anywhere in the continental U.S.A.; ability to work from Boston, Massachusetts a plus.
SUPERRALLIES ORGANIZER
  • Organize Superrallies of 5,000-to-20,000 people apiece on the Nader 2000 model in 4-to-6 metropolitan areas.
  • Work with campaign team to recruit star power and major entertainment for each rally.
  • Secure venues for rallies and oversee logistics, including setup, take down, and donation processing.
  • Oversee staff and services hired to run logistics at each Superrally site.
  • Work with local organizers and national campaign to promote and pack each rally.
Compensation:  $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications, plus travel expenses
Location: Anywhere in the continental U.S.A.; ability to work from Madison, Wisconsin a plus.
PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE
  • Travel with candidate on all campaign trips; this means being on the road almost constantly.
  • Running interference for candidate on travels in order to ensure smooth sailing and adequate rest, downtime, and care and feeding. 
  • Ensuring that all items on campaign event checklists are taken care of.
  • Coordination with operations team regarding scheduling of candidate time.
  • Coordination with field operations regarding processing of information gathered on the road.
  • Other tasks as needed.
Compensation:  $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications, plus travel expenses
Location: Boston, Massachusetts when stationary; on the road six days out of seven.
PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE VICE-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE
  • Travel with candidate on all campaign trips; this means being on the road almost constantly.
  • Running interference for candidate on travels in order to ensure smooth sailing and adequate rest, downtime, and care and feeding. 
  • Ensuring that all items on campaign event checklists are taken care of.
  • Coordination with operations team regarding scheduling of candidate time.
  • Coordination with field operations regarding processing of information gathered on the road.
  • Other tasks as needed.
Compensation:  $2000-$2600/month, based on qualifications, plus travel expenses
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when stationary; on the road six days out of seven.
